IgA Nephropathy, also known as Berger’s disease, is a chronic kidney condition caused by the buildup of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in the kidneys. This accumulation leads to inflammation, which can gradually affect kidney function over time. While there is no definitive cure, various treatment strategies are available to manage symptoms, slow disease progression, and improve quality of life.

### Understanding the Treatment Goals

The primary goal in treating IgA nephropathy is to protect kidney function and reduce complications. Since the disease progresses differently in each individual, treatment plans are usually personalized. Doctors consider factors such as blood pressure, protein levels in urine, and the stage of kidney damage before recommending therapies.
